[KONGRES II IKOHI] Solidarity Message from OPFMD
Dear Friend Mugi and Members of the IKOHI,
Solidarity message from OPFMD
It is with deep respect that OPFMD want to congratulate for the second congress of IKOHI held on March 7-10, 2006 in Makassar, Central Sulawesi.
This is indeed big achievement for an organization that exists now 7 years. We have no doubt IKOHI grown in to a powerful organization and very necessary organization for the family members of the disappeared in Indonesia.
If compare with other countries the issue of Enforced disappearances in Indonesia is most complicated and very difficult. But we understand family members of enforced disappeared in Indonesia still keep hope that they can achieve justice with guidance and help of IKOHI.
Fighting against enforced Disappearances is a long process and very difficult. But we hope through the second congress, IKOHI could improve the capacity to sustain the struggle to eradicate enforced disappearances in Indonesia.
It is not always easy to fulfill all expectation of victims. But it is the conviction of the OPFMD that you should never give up hope for truth, justice, redress.
On behalf of Family members of the disappeared in Sri Lanka we wish every success for the 2nd congress of IKOHI and hope that due to their efforts it would be possible to create societies that would not only respect the right to life but also the right to live in human dignity .
In solidarity
